A researcher writes:
I am writing to request that you consider adding my website as a link to your site. My website includes a survey designed to collect data concerning the effects of abortion on men. Recently, my research was accepted for publication in the December, 1997 issue of the Journal of
Consulting and Clinical Psychology. The report is entitled, "Forgiveness Intervention with Postabortion Men." Click here to visit her Web site.
She adds:
YES!....the section you mentioned "Men Wanted," sounds like a great place to notify men of my survey. My site is for recruitment. While there is a bit of information for visitors, it is primarily a means for me to collect data. The problem is that this subject has received very little attention and so there is very little 'hard data' to report. I am trying to remedy that as I am convinced from previous research that many men have been deeply hurt by a personal abortion experience. I am aware of Shostak's comprehensive research. (See "Men and Abortion: A Clash of Faulty Rights") However it is primarily a demographic set of data and neglected the 11% of men (percent reported by Shostak) that were opposed to their partners' abortions and very quite devastated. Shostak's data also did not cover the many possible after effects of abortion and I want to expand on that. Again, I thank you for your interest and support.
