About George's book

George M. Taylor is a licensed Marriage and Family counselor in California. For ten years, he has been a leader and participant in the men¹s community movement. The book Talking with Our Brothers arose out of his own experience working with other men in groups to heal the pain caused by family abuse, poor communication skills, and relationship issues, much of which could be traced to male gender conditioning. He wrote the book for the thousands of men gathering in small groups around the country, so that they could help their groups to work better and more effectively. George is a nationally recognized speaker and small group trainer: he presents workshops and in-service trainings at conferences, social service institutions and graduate schools. His personal mission is to help men release their own inner creativity, strength and compassion, so they can touch their inner beauty, and offer those gifts to the relationships, families and communities of this suffering world. George is 46 years old, born in Detroit, MI. He has received degrees from the University of Michigan, Humboldt State University and California Institute of Integral Studies.
